Cell (7,8) the smallest unit of life
Cell Theory (7,8) -The theory that states that all living things are made up of cells. Cell Membrane (7,8) Separates the inside of the cell from the outside environment. Lets some materials pass in and out. Cell Membranes can be located in both Plant and Animal cells. In high school, the Cell Membrane is referred to as the Plasma Membrane. Cytoplasm (7,8) All cells contents that lie between the cell membrane and the nucleus. Cytoplasm is located in both Plant and Animal cells. Chloroplasts (8) Site of photosynthesis (conveying sun and CO2 into sugar). Located only in Plant cells. Cell Wall (8) Provides support for the cell and the plant. Located only in Plant cells. Controlled Experiment (8) "a fair test;" and experiment that tests a cause and and effect relationship. It only has one independent variable. Control Variable (8) 'constant" variables in the experiment that are kept the same so they do not interfere with the outcome. They cannot be the IV or the DV. |
